Gabriela Timofte

Violin/Piano Instructor

Gabriela Timofte is a world-class violinist, pianist, and educator whose international career embodies the standard of artistic excellence championed by the South Florida Conservatory of Music. Her presence on our faculty offers students a direct connection to the highest levels of performance and a deep, pedagogical commitment to their success.

Ms. Timofte’s extensive training began in Europe under esteemed masters Galina Buinovschi and Gabriel Croitoru at the National University of Music in Bucharest. Her experience performing as a soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral violinist across Europe, Asia, and the United States—sharing stages with luminaries like Wynton Marsalis and Maxim Vengerov—provides our students with an instructor who has firsthand knowledge of what it takes to succeed on the global stage. This aligns perfectly with SFLCM’s mission to prepare students for a professional life in music.

Furthering her dedication to musical education, Gabriela earned a Master’s Degree in Violin Performance from Florida International University, where she served as a Graduate Assistant. In this role, she mentored students in violin, piano, and performance preparation, honing the skills to guide aspiring musicians. Her passion for teaching students at all levels, from beginners to advanced artists, ensures that every musician at SFLCM receives the expert, personalized instruction needed to unlock their full potential and become a complete, well-rounded artist.
