Gabriela Serpa

Gabriela Serpa Saade is a Venezuelan born, South Florida raised musician, beginning her teaching career in 2018. She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Choral Music Education at the Florida State University College of Music where she graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2022.
Gabriela completed her teaching internship in Miami-Dade County at Southwood Middle School before graduating from Florida State. Immediately upon completion, she was offered an interim music education position at Westchester Elementary School in Broward County as the Music Specials Teacher, working with students ages 5-10. Upon completion of this position, Gabriela was hired to be the full-time Choral Director at Christa McAuliffe Middle School in Palm Beach County, working with students ages 10-14 from 2023-2025. During her time teaching in Palm Beach County, Gabriela was recognized and received an “Immediate Impact” spotlight from the Florida Music Education Association for her success as a young educator. Gabriela was also selected to present for the District 14 Music Education Professional Development Seminar where she encouraged and educated her fellow colleagues on Music Literacy and the importance of inspiration and motivation in the classroom.
Gabriela is a passionate and dedicated music educator with a strong track record of developing meaningful connections with students of all ages. She is skilled in designing and implementing innovative curriculum and resources to enhance the learning experience for both large group sizes and individual classes. Gabriela is recognized for fostering teamwork and community among students, parents, and staff, while continuously improving and evolving music programs for excellence. She believes in the power of inclusivity and the recognition of all cultures from all walks of life. As an educator, she works to represent diversity through music and believes in teaching the whole student.
