Aramis Fernandez

Aramis Fernandez is a highly versatile professional drummer who has been teaching since 2021. Born In Miami, Florida, he has been influenced by the bustling metropolitan, Caribbean sounds of South Florida from a young age. With a varied background consisting of Cuban music, Rock, Jazz, Pop, Funk, Metal, among others, he has a unique sound that crosses genres.
While at the University of North Texas, he honed his sound for Latin Jazz and Swing music, developed his overall musicianship, and gained the opportunity to play live performances with some of the greatest names in Jazz, including Regina Carter, Miguel Zenon, and Kurt Elling to name a few. A few of his personal projects include the Aramis Fernandez Trio which plays Afro-Cuban Jazz standards and his arrangements, he was part of Nu-Metal band “Trîvu” writing their original music, and he has an Alternative Rock EP of his own songs on the way.
With a solid foundation early in his professional career, Aramis continues to push the boundaries of his musical capabilities, captivating audiences with his dynamic artistry.
