Eric Swanson

Guitar Instructor

Eric J. Swanson began his musical career at age twelve at the Neighborhood School of Music in New Haven, Connecticut, where he received a full scholarship.

At age 15 he travelled to Santiago De Compostela, Spain, recommended by the State of Connecticut since he was considered a prodigy at that age, he attended master classes with high level professors.

Upon returning he met guitarist Eliot Fisk, with whom he studied with for several years, while Eliot was a student at Yale University he was able to get in contact with the best performers in USA.

Eric received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Miami, with a full scholarship and winning outstanding performer award.

He attended the Lamont School of Music at the University of Denver in Colorado, studying with Ricardo Iznaola (HALL OF FAME inductee in 2016) as the teacher’s assistant where he obtained his Master degree in Music and guitar performance.

Fully certified as a Florida music teacher, Eric has taught at the Florida International University in Miami, Broward College, and students from K-12.​
